Encapsulation starts at $200 with the option to upgrade. Please see our Pricing page for more details about our packages.

We recommend that you book your reservation 4 weeks in advance. However, we can accommodate last minute bookings.

Please fill out our reservation form to ensure your due date is secured on our calendar.

After you have placed your order and secured your due date, you will receive further instructions on how to proceed.

Please update Andrea via call or text at 865.910.1069 with any unforeseen changes so she can be prepared for your special delivery.

Please call or text Andrea to inform her that you are in labor. Her direct phone number is 865.910.1069.

Once you have been admitted to the labor and delivery room, let your nurse know  the following, “I am keeping my placenta and I have made arrangements to have it picked up after the delivery by Andrea from Sheroesque.”

Call or text Andrea at your earliest convenience to inform her that you have delivered the baby and the placenta is ready for pick up.

It is best to contact us as soon as possible. It is recommended to keep the placenta on ice until pick up.

The Placenta belongs to YOU just as the baby belongs to YOU. The placenta is yours, the hospital does not own your placenta and ultimately you make the decision.

**Ask for the hospital Patient Advocate. It is their duty to properly advocate for your requests.

If you have HIV, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C or if it has been sent to pathology.

If necessary, due to complications, request that a small piece be taken. We will not be able to encapsulate your placenta after it has been taken to pathology due to exposure to chemicals.

For your safety, ensure that the placenta is always in your possession.

Yes, it is safe to encapsulate. The traditional method followed ensures that the placenta is steamed at an internal temperature of 165 degrees. This method kills any bacteria, already present.

Yes, it is safe to encapsulate. The placenta is prepared and steamed to a temperature high enough to eliminate any and all bacteria.

Yes, absolutely. We steam the placenta at a temperature of 165 degrees °F. This temperature is enough to ensure that all bacteria and viruses are not present (exactly as you would cook chicken) but not so excessive that nutrients are lost.

It is completely safe to encapsulate.

They should be kept in a cool dark place. Do NOT refrigerate, this can cause moisture creating bacteria growth; therefore damaging your pills. They can sit out for up to 6 months in room temperature. They can last up to 12 months in the freezer.

We can still encapsulate if you choose to delay cord clamping.

You can still encapsulate if they take a small PART of the placenta and leave the rest for encapsulation.

Sheroesque ensures that supplies, equipment and laboratory are sanitized and sterilized by using universal precautions and guidelines. We adhere to the OSHA safe and food handling guidelines as well as uphold health department and FDA standards.

We are located in Knoxville, Tennessee and provide local pickup and delivery services in the surrounding area. We also ship nationwide!

Once your order is placed, we will provide detailed information for easy logistical handling within the continental United States.

Our shipping fee is a flat rate of $100 per order within the continental United States. 

Our pickup and delivery service is available in Knoxville, Tennesee and nearby areas. There is no long distance fee for locations less than 30 minutes. A $50 fee will be applied for travel distances between 30-45 minutes away. Any travel over 45 minutes would incur a standard shipping charge of $100.
